ABOUT THE PROJECT
This project connects minimalist art and gastronomy through a special wine label created from a detail of my artwork 'ELEMENTS IN BALANCE - The Pastels The label translates the visual language of the painting into a new context, bringing the artwork from the canvas to the table.
The collaboration was developed together with Restaurant Klinker and gallery connect.
The wine itself is a 2022 riesling, exlusively bottled for Klinker by weingut odinstal. it is available exclusively at klinker, making the wine not only a culinary highlight but also a small collectible piece of art that merges visual aesthetics with the experience of fine dining.

restaurant klinker in hamburg is a well-established part of the city's contemporary dining scene, known for its modern and sustainable inspired cuisine. since opening klinker has built a clear culinary identity and a strong reputation for quality.
the restaurant's inclusion in the michelin guide highlights the kitchen's craftmanship and creative approach. by combining regional, seasonal ingredients with a refined contemporary interpretation, klinker represents a new generation of ambitious gastronomy in hamburg.

Odinstal is a magical place consisting of vineyards, meadows and mixed forest, Perched high above the rest of the region and situated next to an old volcano. they produce white wines at an altitude of 350m above sea level - Certified organic and biodynamic.
The basic idea is to create a farm individuality that works without any external input to gain a product with the maximum fingerprint of the place it comes from. So they keep cows around the vineyards to provide manure for their compost. Sheep are grazing down the cover crops in the vineyards over winter. the vineyard keeps bees to bring more life into the vineyards and pick a lot of herbs and flowers that they use in teas and dedoctions to reduce the use of sulfur and copper in our mildew sprays. All biodynamic field compost preparations are produced on the farm with herbs, flowers and organs from the farm, or at least in a relation to it.
during vinification, they only work with the indigenous microbiology of vineyards and cellar. the vineyard respects the different temperatures of the vintages, as well as different sugar, alcohol and acid levels. Maximum authenticity regarding vineyard, variety and vintage.
